DET is a Finnish black/speed metal band from Helsinki, Uusimaa, formed in 2022.
The band’s discography began with the Death Night demo in 2022. DET followed it with another demo, Vengeance, in 2023. Later in 2023, DET contributed to the DET / Krusifoitu split. In 2024, DET collected its first two demos on the compilation Death Night’s Vengeance.
DET reached a new stage with its debut full-length, Destructive Elite Terror, in 2025. Released through Dying Victims Productions, the album features thirteen tracks of pure black speed metal inspired by the vilest 80s bands.
The band’s lineup includes Atte on bass, Miikka on drums and vocals, and Jari on guitars and vocals. Meanwhile, the members bring experience from several other Finnish metal projects. Atte also plays with Excuse and Owerpower. Miikka is connected to Cryogenic. Jari has performed with Asphodelus, Cranial Casket, Cryogenic, Repression, and several other bands.
