Deceptor is a thrash metal band from Raleigh, North Carolina, formed in 2022. The band currently works with Dying Victims Productions.
Deceptor’s lineup includes Andrew Harper on drums, Gabe Earley on bass and vocals, and Preston Lanier on guitars.
The band’s discography began with the Bound by Ritual demo in 2022. Next, Deceptor released the Bathed in Blood single in 2023. The band later expanded the material into the Bathed in Blood EP. In 2024, Deceptor released the standalone single Street General, an advance song from their then upcoming album. Then, Deceptor reached a new stage with its debut full-length, Reign of Terror, in 2026.
Since forming in 2022, Deceptor has built its catalogue through a demo, singles, an EP, and a full-length album. The band continues to develop its place within contemporary American thrash metal.
With Reign of Terror, Deceptor has entered a new chapter while maintaining its aggressive underground identity. The band’s aggression and their warfare aesthetics bring to mind classic acts like Demolition Hammer, At War, S.O.D. or Morbid Saint.
