Asphodelus is a death/doom band, formed in Hamina, Finland in 2016. They rose from the ashes of another band called Cemetery Fog. With Asphodelus, they approached a more elegant, gothic brand of death/doom, mostly inspired by early Katatonia, as well as the Peaceville Three or early Greek black metal. They caught the scene attention with their 2016 MLP, Dying Beauty & the Silent Sky, released by Iron Bonehead Productions. Stygian Dreams was their debut album, Terror From Hell released it in 2019. Shortly after, they signed with Hammerheart Records and in 2023 they released their sophomore album, Sculpting from Time.
