Azatoth is one of the most interesting bands to emerge from Finland in the last few years. They were formed in 2020. Since then, they have played in many underground festivals in Finland and abroad.
The band draws inspiration from US acts such as Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel or Incantation, mixed with their own Finnish forefathers such as Demigod. They released their first demo, Sacrificial Suicide, in 2020, followed by a second demo, Ruins of Humanity, in 2021.
In 2022, they released their debut EP, Ungodly Carnage. The Other Records released on tape and CD, and Iron Corpse took care of the vinyl version.
In 2026, they released their debut album, Carnal Lust of Blasphemy. Extremely Rotten Productions released it on vinyl and CD. This release has helped the band reach a broader audience and has made them one of the most important forces in the current Finnish death metal scene.
