Wormphlegm is a cult funeral doom band, formed in Finland in the year 2000. They released their debut demo, In an Excruciating Way Infested with Vermin and Violated by Executioners Who Practise Incendiarism and Desanctifying the Pious, the following year.
In 2006, they released their sole full-length album, Tomb of the Ancient King. Belgian label Painiac Records took care of the release. The album reached cult status within the underground, but Wormphlegm disbanded shortly after. Some of their members are involved in the funeral doom band Tyranny.
In 2026, on the 20th anniversary of the album release, Extremely Rotten Producions reissued on double vinyl and CD.
